summary

When GALLO seeks to create a new wine or when companies approach GALLO to create the juice, the Creative Department often create the new labels. Depending on the charter, the label design stage can be two weeks, while others can last two months.Each charter goes through multiple rounds of revisions and critiques, ensuring the team brings the best work forward as it goes up the chain of command.

While at GALLO, I was apart of three innovation charters.

  • Sonoma— California Wine

  • Vouvray— French Wine

  • Arch Rival— Private Label

SONOMA CHARTER

gravel cap + strath

A new wine brand was explored and created, with the grapes coming from Sonoma County of California. While on the team, I created a range of unique label designs for the two brands Gravel Cap and Strath. Labels from each went through the revision process while one label from Gravel Cap made it to the executive team. â€‹

VOUVRAY CHARTER

illustrations + label designs

As part of a new French wine, I was on the team to create a handful of materials to launch the brand. This brand had many names and territories designers were working on.

ARCH RIVAL

private wine label

Publix approached GALLO to design a private label wine. The company gave us a design brief of what they would like to see in the design. They wanted a Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.​
